You know what people should be concerning themselves with today instead of this non-issue? The credit card and personal information of 77 MILLION users that was stolen from the Sony network this week. Now THAT is an issue.
PS. Do you think Sony will get sued?
This aint CNN pal...the site is dedicated to APPLE related rumors/news.
But hey, Ive been wrong once before:rolleyes:

I don't think that barmann was making a case against a new technology that didn't fit the old ways like when mice were first introduced.
Sounded like it to me. May not have been the gist, but unwittingly, he was making that argument.
His point was that as much as iPad fanboys want it to be the coolist thing ever that will replace all those old-fashioned computers there are differences in machines between consumer ones and those used by professionals.
This is the exact argument made against the mouse and GUI. Exact. Mouse and GUI-based machines were scoffed at by geeks back in the 80s as "toys." That's the same rhetoric I'm hearing now about the iPad and touch-based devices. "It won't do for real work done by professionals." "It's fun but I can't get things done on it." That may be true for some lines of work at this stage, but it's going to change fast so declaring it useless or a plaything at this stage is shortsighted.
And BTW, nobody is saying the iPad will replace computers. Just like the mouse and GUI, this approach is going to continue evolving until ways are found for it to enhance computers and become an essential part of it. But it's insane for people to write off touch-based tablets as fanboy cheerleading

I'm not going, but I have to tell you that I'm extremely jealous. Modest Mouse has slowly become one of my all time favorite bands. I hope to see them live someday soon. Enjoy the show!

honestly the thing is looking like one of the weirdest frankstein cars ever made:
the shape of the old BMW M Coupe (which i madly liked)
the front looking botched together from a porsche, peugeot 407 and a nissan GT (which i all liked)
the back like a honda having mated with a BMW Z4
then 4 seats _and_ all wheel drive ?
Actually, I am surprised you didn't make reference to the Jenson FF, that's what Ferrari actually copied. ;) :p
I'll give you that...although the Sultan of Brunei's 456 "Venice" wagons managed to stay beautiful despite having four doors.
It's difficult to make the 4 door format work for a sports car isn't it, when you think that every significant dimensional requirement is against them, physical size of the engine, location of the engine, low height, width etc, Porsche failed miserably, Aston certainly did a reasonable job with the Rapide, but even then I'd suggest that it looks overly elongated, lacks shape in the profile and with a design language that dates back to 1994, looks a little too familiar, to the point of it being bland.

The 7-hour battery estimate is supposed to be more precise. I'm in the US and the MacBooks were just updated recently.

Then why don't they let me explicitly allow it like Apple wants them to do?
Because Apple's solution cuts them out from general demographics information as well (for those that opt out).
And I have not seen on option in iOS to prevent Apple from using my data for general demographics they use to sell their iAds.
People get whipped into a frenzy just because somebody tells them to.

Really? The seller was completely honest, upfront and quite descriptive about the item he is selling. I wish I could get the same when I go to buy my next used car.

completely the opposite. you obviously don't know eBay or PayPal. PayPal will 99% of the time be in favour of the buyer.
1. title doesn't state picture.
2. listed under the wrong category
buyer wins.

edit: actually, i'm so confident that if someone had posted this early, i would've bid really high, made sure i won the auction and not paid the seller. guess what, i wouldn't even get a strike for those reasons listed above.

It goes to show you that they can still make a profit with $100 off. I guess the price gouging by Apple continues.
Not necessarily, it could be a loss leader. Apple's margin on products is generally 35%, however.

So, what do you call, and how do we handle the individual(s)who planned, and helped to plan the death of 3,000 + individuals on 9/11, the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole, the Bali nightclub bombings, and who knows how many more acts of terrorism?
Terrorism doesn't require torture to combat it one iota. Just las with any form justice. You are completely off track.

Inspired by the new Tron Legacy Trailer and all the stuff out of comic-con. Can't wait for this movie!
Excellent desktop; cannot wait either!!! I was a young pup when the first debuted and I cannot tell you the last time I was excited to see a movie as much since then. Don't like how the music changed though; liked the original trailer with the hype techno!!

I tried cleaning out the pins on the bottom of the phone, but still no luck. Still comes up with a message saying "This accessory is not supported by iphone" when I try and play it through the speakers.

Wow...I could give a damn what she was wearing she isn't asking to be raped.
Of course she didn't. But certainly if one was dressed as a 21 year old prostitute they'd get much more attention from whomever would commit a rape.
It's interesting how similar hardcore Christian conservatives are to hardcore conservative Muslims.
How is that? Christians are making their women wear burkhas now?

there is no "sent from my iPhone" or iPad, so this may be false
So I guess steve isn't aloud to use a mac?
As for the topic... Meh, who cares? They're cheap ipads. I wish there was a way I could get an iPad on the cheap here in the uk.
